Don’t forget that TODAY is the LAST day for my 40% OFF Sale at my TSD Etsy shop! Check it out!

I have been busy with orders, making new products, etc., and I have just totally neglected my poor little blog! If you haven’t seen some of the new stuff I’ve added to my PoshGirlBoutique Etsy shop, here’s a little Etsy mini to give you a quick look…

I don’t have a chance to do a lot of online shopping, but this site is a lifesaver for me: www.onlinelabels.com. They have such a great selection of items and fast shipping! I hope you all have a great weekend!

New Stuff & A Sick Baby…

Well, after another couple of days of torrential rain, I thought today was going to be a better day, but no, of course not! Not only is it raining again, but my baby girl has strep throat!

My husband and I went with a few friends to an Extreme Cage Fight last night. It’s not really my thing, but my husband is all into mixed martial arts and UFC fights. My daughter has been taking karate for three years now, and her instructor was doing his first MMA fight last night. He’s an undefeated kickboxing champ, but this is a whole different ballgame…

He did very well though. He had a little trouble when he wasn’t on his feet, and his competitor learned quickly to try to keep him off his feet. His feet and legs should be considered deadly weapons! He wins just about all of his fights with a TKO spinning head kick, and last night was no exception. I kind of felt sorry for the other guy. He was stumbling all over the place when he finally stood up.

So after the fight, when we picked Jordan up from Nana’s house, she was complaining of a sore throat. I figured it was her sinuses draining, so I gave her some decongestant and some Motrin. Well, this morning she woke me up crying because her throat was hurting so badly. I gave her more Motrin and a Chloraseptic lozenge. Then I realized how red her cheeks were, and how hot she felt. I grabbed the thermometer, and her fever was 103!

Off to the phone I went to see if we could get her in to see the doc. Luckily one of their offices is open a half day on Saturdays. So after a quick throat swab and a wait, the doc came in to tell us that she has strep. This is the first time she’s had it in her almost eight years…

She’s also lost 5 pounds since October… She was 60 lbs. then, and now she’s down to 55. I don’t know what’s up with that. She isn’t eating any differently, and she’s no more active than she’s ever been. Maybe it’s just a growth spurt. She is getting taller… I’m going to have to keep a watch on that, because it kind of worries me. I could understand if she’d been sick, but she hasn’t, and nothing else in her daily routine has changed.

So she’s piled up on the couch watching Home Alone 2, and I’m working on the computer. I have some new cards and labels listed in my Posh Girl shop.

I’ve also added a ton of pendants to my Quirk Me shop. I have a special running on those too - buy 2 and get a free chain or cable choker.

Well, I’m off to chill out for a while myself. It’s chilly and rainy outside - sound like a good excuse to take nap to me - lol! Not that I ever take naps - I just can’t seem to sleep during the day unless I am deathly ill, but at least I can chill on the couch.

Happy Saturday!

Well, it looks like we are in for another chilly and wet weekend! I swear - I am so sick of rain! We have had so much rain in the past 9 months or so… At least we did have a few decent days earlier in the week. One day it actually made it up to the mid 60’s! That was heaven!

Since it was so dreary, and Jordan brought home an excellent report card (she made the honor roll again this quarter!), we decided to treat her to a trip to Build a Bear. She loves that store! I just really don’t understand why - she really doesn’t play with them that much - she just wants them - lol! I think we are up to about 14 “critters” now. We have several bears, an owl, a polar bear, a couple of dogs, a pink leopard, a koala, and today we got a panda. I tried to talk her into the frog, because I just thought it was cool - and I liked the bright green. So we got “Polly the Panda” and stuffed and she got a new outfit - complete with shoes! Then she had to get a dog food bowl and mat so she could feed her dogs - lol!

So we walked around the mall for awhile, and I hit the Bath & Body Works like I do about every other time we’re at the mall. I picked up so of the hand soap pumps they had on sale and three new tubs of body butter. I just love the Japanese Cherry Blossom. I also got the Twilight Woods and the regular Cherry Blossom. The body butter is so super moisturizing, and it’s great for keeping my skin moisturized in the Winter, plus the fragrance usually lasts for a long time.

After that, we ate a late lunch at TGIFridays, and then headed home… So exciting right? LOL!

I did start a Clearance Sale today. All the items in my Clearance Section are all marked down to only $5! For some of the items, that’s almost 70% OFF! Here’s a little mini with a few of the items…

I also added some new jewelry the last couple of days. I am loving this necklace and earrings.

I also added some new iPod covers to my PoshGirlBoutique…

Well, it’s almost 11:00 here, so I think I am going to hit the hay! Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!

New line…

I just added a new line of items to my Posh Girl Boutique - iPod covers! Actually these are more for the iTouch, but they can be used for other similar sized gadgets as well - iPhones, cell phones, slim cameras, and other mp3 players. I made one for myself a while back because I just didn’t like any of the ones I found in stores. I wanted something with a little more personality…

Here are the ones I’ve added to the shop so far, and I am working on some more…

I added some more new items to my TSD Etsy shop. Still have a few more pieces to add over the next few days. Here’s a quick mini to show you my new items:

I also added these super cute cards to my Posh Girl shop. The first two are digitally painted illustrations, and they have a softer watercolor texture to them. Great for Valentines Day, but since they’re blank, you can use them for anything.

Happy Saturday!

We’ve made it to another weekend! I’m not sure about other areasof the country, but my daughter is out of school Monday and Tuesday, so it’s an extra long weekend for us. Monday is MLK day, and then Tuesday is a teacher workday for report cards. I swear I don’t remember getting all these days off when I was is school! Yeh - that’s sounds kinda like “I walked up hill both ways to school, barefooted in the snow!” LOL! Geez - I must be getting old!

Iit would be a good weekend for a little excursion, but we’re still waiting on the check from the worker’s comp people for Phil’s hernia surgery. I mean damn people, come on! Let’s see you go 4 weeks without some money coming in! SUPPOSEDLY, a check for 3 weeks worth was mailed out on Thursday. I won’t hold my breath as I check the mail box though…

I did get some new items posted last night in my TSD Jewelry shop. I have been so focused on getting my Posh Girl shop stocked up, that I have sort of neglected my jewelry… I still have quite a few items to add though, so keep checking to see if something catches your eye…

I started a new line of necklaces call “See Clearly.” These are so cool looking! They are made with clear acrylic shapes, and the images are transparent as well, so the whole piece has a dreamy translucent look to it. The images are sealed under resin, so they are pretty durable. All of them come on black cable chokers. I’ve only gotten two added so far, but I have more to come…

Here’s an Etsy mini to showcase my most recent items. It’s a lot easier than posting each individual item here. The images are clickable, so if you want a closer look, just click on one of them.

Brrr! I am so ready for this 2 week long arctic blast to be over with! I am tired of it barely getting above freezing! We went to a reptile show up around Charlotte yesterday to get out of the house for awhile. Well, it was supposed to be a reptile show - but they should have called it a snake show… 90% of what was there was all snakes - everything from tiny babies to big monster pythons.

We have a Chinese Water Dragon, so we were hoping to check out some supplies and stuff, but there were no water dragons. The few lizards that were there were uromastyx and geckos. So, it was pretty much a waste of a two hour drive each way. On the way back, I was playing a game on my iPod and not really paying attention to what was around us when my husband asked me what Ikea was. I looked up, and right off the highway was this HUGE Ikea store! I told him to get off at the exit and we’d check it out.

Let me tell you, I’ve never been in an Ikea store, even though I love their stuff and have looked at them online. The Ikea in Charlotte is friggin’ HUGE! I have never seen one store that big! The parking lot was massive, and it was still jam packed. We had to park almost all the way in the back! So after bearing the bitter cold and wind to get inside, I was in awe - lol!

It’s a good thing I have a lot of self control, and we’d already filled up the back of my Commander with a big piece of driftwood for our water dragon’s new enclosure, because I could have done some serious damage in that place! We walked around the upstairs and then went to the cafe for some lunch before tackling the downstairs. We ended up being in there for over three hours! We bought my daughter this cute pink plastic rolling chair for her desk in her room, a this cute flower shaped light that hangs on the wall, and a couple of these small laptop tables for using while we’re on the couch. They also make good trays for eating, because they slide under the couch so you can actually have your plate close to you.

I fell in love with this desk chair, but I can’t justify that price for a desk chair - even though that is where I spend most of my time. Maybe I’ll splurge on myself one day soon - or it will go on sale! It was so comfy!

I finally have gotten some of my new cards and labels listed in the last few days! I still have a lot left to add though. Here are my most recent additions:

Well, I guess that’s it for now. I hope everyone has a great week! It’s supposed to warm up to our normal temps here this week - yay!

Happy 2010!!

Yeh - I know… I’m a few days late - lol! I hope everyone had a great holiday season. To tell you the truth, I am kind of glad it’s all over! It sure does FEEL like Christmas around here though! The last week we’ve been lucky to get above freezing during the day, and the temps at night are just frigid! I know, it’s nothing compared to what places like Wisconsin and Minnesota have, but this is S. Carolina we’re talkin’ about! This is about 20 degrees below where we should be, and it looks like we’re in for another week of it before we get back to our norm. We might even get some snow flurries here Thursday night!

Hubby is on the mend. He’s been up and about quite a bit the last week, but he still grunts and groans like an old man when he gets out of bed our out of his chair - lol! I guess now he might have a little more sympathy for what I went through after I had my gallbladder out a few years ago. It’s a killer when they start cutting into those stomach muscles! You just don’t realize how much you use them until every little movement kills you.

Anyway… enough about all of that… I wanted to post some new items that I’ve added to my Posh Girl Etsy shop. I have added some new stickers and cards, and three new wool Owl Babies. I just love these little critter! I have them all lined up on the top of my desk’s hutch, and they look so cute sitting up there! I have a TON of new card and labels designs that I need to add to the shop, but I was kind of waiting til everyone has settled back into their normal routines after the holidays.

Here are my new Owl Babies - ain’t they precious?? LOL! I have more of these cuties in my shop. You can take a look at them here.

Meet Edward! What else would you name this short, dark and handsome dude with garnet and gold eyes? I guess I need to come up with a Bella now!

Meet Powder! He’s a sweet and cuddly little dude! In soft light blue, tan and brown, he’s sure to look cute wherever you sit him.

They say plaid is going to be really big this season, so check out  Emory in his celadon green and black plaid!

This sweet little cupcake card is already listed in my shop. You can even choose your own colors for the cupcake as well as the font style and color!

Here is the matching round address label. I have these available in 1.5″ and 2″ labels.

Here’s sneak peek at some of the new cards I will be adding to my shop in the next couple of days. These will also have matching round labels that can be customized with your name and address or your shop name if you’re an Etsy seller.

Well, I guess that’s it for today! I hope you all have a great rest of the week and STAY WARM!!

After Christmas Sale!

Hello all! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Ours was OK. My husband had hernia surgery on the 23rd, so he was sooo not up to the whole Christmas thing! Last year he was in Iraq, and this year he was drugged up and in bed - lol! He was able to come downstairs and watch Jordan open her presents, but that was about it for his participation in the Christmas festivities! He’s feeling a little better today though.

I also wanted to let you know that I am having an After Christmas Sale at my TSD Jewelry Esty shop. Take 30% OFF everything but my custom items and gift cards! You can either convo me prior to purchasing and I can change the prices for you, or I can send the discount as a PayPal refund.

I just added these bracelets:

I also have started carrying address labels to match the cards I have for sale at my Posh Girl Boutique. These are really cute, and you have the option of choosing 1.5″ or 2″ rounds labels. These would also be great for sellers to use on products and packaging!

Here are a few of the ones I’ve added so far, but I have more to come soon!
