Oh To Be Four Again…
Something that I found quite amusing happened this morning. I was taking Jordan to school, and she’s sitting in her booster seat playing with one of ner many Dora dolls, all of a sudden she just lets out this big sigh, and in true almost four year old drama, says "I am so sick of being a little girl!" I asked her why, and she said, "I want to be a grown up!" I told her she better enjoy being a little girl while she can, because all she has to do right now is play all day! I told her that grown ups have to go to work every day, and they have to pay bills, and they have to wash dishes, and do laundry, and clean the house. Her response was, "I like to do laundry!"
Her idea of laundry is helping me throw the clothes in the washing machine and into the dryer, not the actual folding of them and the putting them away! Oh, to be four again! Knowing my almost-four year old angel like I do, I bet I can name a few reasons she thinks she wants to be a grown up:
- So she can ride in the front seat of the car
- So she can actually drive the car
- So she can wear makeup
- So she can put "grown-up" goop in her hair
These are just a few of the things that I can think of off the top of my head. She’s such a little drama queen. I just can’t imagine what she’s going to be like when she’s a teenager! Ugh!! Quite honestly, it scares me a little bit - LOL!
We still have no internet connection at our house! Grrr! The cable company is supposed to come out today to fix it. I hate not being able to keep up with my emails and cruise the galleries and forums at night! I have to keep up with it all at work for right now - shhhh - don’t tell!! Now all I have to do at night is watch TV! DH, in true male fashion, usually has control of the remote, which usually isn’t a big deal because I’m normally on the computer. Last night we watched X-Men 2 on FX, which wasn’t bad. I’m sure I could have found something better to watch, but I really didn’t care. I don’t actually watch much TV anyway. There are a few shows that I always try to watch though - Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, Invasion, and Nip/Tuck whenever the new season starts this summer.
