Real Life Sucks!
That’s my outlook right now! I have been having to bust my a$$ at my "real" job for the past two weeks, and is stressing me out! I am having to do the work of two people, and no one seems to think anything of it! Am I getting paid for the work of two people - uhhh… no, don’t think so! Honestly, even if I was getting paid twice what I make now, I don’t think it would be worth the hell this week and last week have been!
I wanna be at home scrapbooking, and designing, and looking through galleries, and reading message boards! Of course, if I was at home, I’d have to throw a few household chores in there - but I’m OK with that! I don’t mind doing that kind of stuff as long as I haven’t just lived through 9 hours of hell at my job!
OK, I’m done venting - I think! Now on with the good stuff! Miss Ella over at the Digital Kit Peas Yahoo group found herself without a Designer of the Week, so she asked if I could fill on for her on short notice. I felt a little funny about it, because I just finished up my 38% off birthday sale, but I have to help people out whenever I can, and Miss Ella is a sweetie.
So…. I’m having a 50% OFF sale this week at the Your-Digital-Dream store! Here’s the catch though - the coupon code is only good for 50% off ONE ORDER. So now’s your chance to stock up and save a wad of money at the same time! The sale will run through May 8th.
I also have the cutest little CD Album for sale over at Scrapbook-Elements, I just love the way this turned out, and I think it would make a great gift for Mother’s Day or someones birthday! Heck, you could even make one for yourself while you’re at it!
These CD albums are so easy to make! You just plop you photo on a layer behind the layout, print them, and cut them out. Then you use a dry adhesive like a tape runner and "glue" them to old CDs. You can even use chipboard circles. Once you have them done, you just drill a 1/4" hole and use a binder ring or ribbon to tie them together. So simple, but so cute! You can find the Beautiful Day CD Album HERE.
OK, what else has been going on??? Oh, I just finished this cute little layout.
Remember that massive aquarium that I talked about a couple of posts back? Well, here’s a layout that gives you an idea of how big this thing really is. This is Miss Jordan helping her daddy wash it out. We still have a couple of things to do before we can put water in it, but I’m hoping that if all goes well, we’ll be able to put the water in this weekend. Then we can add the salt about a week later, then the sand for the bottom. This is going to be a reef tank, so it’s going to take a while to get it set up the way we want it. We have to buy about 400 pounds of live rock - and that stuff ain’t cheap! Then we can start looking at fish and anemones and stuff. Well, I think that about does it for me today! I think this is one of my longest posts ever!
