:: Finished Up the Window Project ::
Happy Hump Day! Gosh, it seems like I just said that yesterday! These last few days have just flown by! I guess it’s true what they say - time really does fly when you’re having fun! I have had such a great time working on my altering projects! I love to do stuff like this, but I usually just don’t have the time! Well, this time I just said the heck with it - and I did what I wanted to do for a couple of days!
The windows actually did not take that long to make. A lot of the time was cleaning them and then distressing them a little with a razor blade to chip off some paint and then some sandpaper. They were already a bit worn, I just helped them along a little - LOL! I finished the second window today. Wanna see?
I got them both hung up on either side of my desk too. Here’s a photo of the finished projects. Yes, that is Jordan playing in the chair! I tried to get her to move, but she insisted that she must be in the photo - like there’s not enough photos of her hanging right behind her - LOL! Heck, in the photo, you can see - she’s even on my screen saver!

So what do you think? I love it!! I have another little project that I am going to start on later this week. My MIL found an old door, and do mean an OLD door. This this is gorgeous! It has all these ornate carvings in it. She was going to do something with it, but never did, so she told me I could have it. The paint is literally just falling off of it. I’m sure it’s lead based paint, considering the age of the door, so all of that is going to have to be scraped off. Then I will repaint it and shabby it up. Not sure where I’m going to put it, but I think I’m just going to hang it on a wall. I’m sure it wouldn’t fit any of the doors in our house anyway. I’ll make sure and post the results when it’s done. Heck I may post a “before” shot tomorrow, so you can see what it looked like when I started.
OK, so now it’s freebie time! This is a little sampler of my Blooming set. It’s for sale over at The Digi Chick. This is just a fun and funky little set! It’s perfect for girls of any age!
Here’s what the whole set looks like:

HERE is the link to download the sampler. PLEASE DO NOT SHARE THE DOWNLOAD LINK! If someone wants the sampler, they need to download it directly from my blog. Thanks, and hope you all have a wonderful day!! Love please???

I LOVE your craft room — it’s what mine wants to look like when it grows up! That “Blooming” Sampler is too adorable. Your blog has become one of my daily stops. I went with a friend to a LSS in Boise & she thought I was crazy because I went wild over your paper line. I told her about “buying the store” & that now I could be “Traci Sims bi-scraptual.” She doesn’t know what she’s missing sticking to only the paper/altered side. Thanks for all you do & all you share.
