:: How cute is this? ::
I got some old windows from a the guy that just put our new windows in. I saw them sitting on the back of his trailer and asked him what he was going to do with them. He said they were out of another house he’d been working on and that he was just going to trash them. I told him I would take them off his hand. I’ve had them for about a month now, and I kind of had an idea of what I wanted to do with them, but not really. Well, I finally cleaned one of them up yesterday and started a new project! Here is the final result.

I have another one that I hope to work on tomorrow. The doodles on the photos are from Taran Conyers and Rhonna Farrer. I color overlaid some of them, and changed the colors on others. They look just like real rub-ons! I just love the shabby chicness of it! When I get the other one done, they will hand on each side of my “INSPIRE” letters and frame my desk beautifully! These are pretty big windows to - about 3 feet tall and 2 feet wide.
Onto the freebie…. Here’s the sampler for the day. This is from my Naturally set in the YDD store.

Here’s a preview of the whole set. I think it’s kinda heritagy and shabby.

HERE is the link to download the freebie. Remember - Please DO NOT SHARE THIS LINK! Leave me some love too - LOL!
THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST IN MY FREE DAILY DOWNLOAD SERIES. THIS PARTICULAR DOWNLOAD HAS EXPIRED!

Hey Traci, thanks for another neat freebie! I love the window idea. I’ve thought about doing that myself. Are your photos black and white ? I can’t really tell on this computer.

I love the project!!! I have some windows like that (that is, if my husband hasn’t thrown them away already! LOL), I used to make a lot of crafts few years back, and I was always buying stuff that looked worn and beaten up LOL… shabby and chic, primitive, those were me.
Thanks for the great idea! And for the freebie!

Wow! The window is gorgeous! I’ve seen similar things done before and I’ve always loved it! When my DH and I get a house, we’ll have to try something like this
I’ve also seen old doors used!

Thanks so much for the freebie. It is great.
Also, I love your window project. I trash piciked an old “screen” door that had two removable sections of window (so you could put screens in in summer). Each section has six panes of glass. I haven’t done the project yet, but yours is pretty much what I had planned to do, only on a different scale. I want to hang the door on the landing that is two steps up from out first floor, and put molding around it - the door to nowhere, with photos and mirrors behind the glass. Maybe I’ll finally get around to it now, wiht your wondderful project as inspiration. Thanks!!!
Now, to trash pick some windows like yours - love the rectangular shape - unusual in a window, usually only see square or more horizontal layout of mutton bars. Very cool.

Traci, thanks for the lovely freebies! You are so generous! BTW, I share your aquarium pix with my husband all the time. I loved your blue starfish! My husband just a Naso Tang and a Coral Beauty Angel (very pretty). I prefer him to buy fish instead of his “pet rocks” as I call them.
Also, I absolutely LOOOOOOOOOVE what you did with the window! What a nifty idea! I wish I was creative like that!

Not to beat a dead horse or anything LOL, but
the window turned out absolutely stunning (doesn’t hurt to have such wonderful photos of a beautiful little girl, does it!).
I’m wondering if you could elaborate on how you made it. Are the photos/ papers glued onto the front of the glass, or somehow adhered behind the glass, or what?
Thanks for the freebie BTW, but I’d rather have the window!
