:: Another Typical Day ::
Nothing exciting to report here at Chez Sims. I am still working on getting everything in the great room how I want it. I got all of the stuff I bought at Hobby Lobby put up yesterday. It’s all coming together quite nicely. I should have pics to post in the next couple of days. I am so loving the new red couch. Between it, the new artwork, the new rug and the other changes I’ve made, it looks like a totally different room!
Jordan and I did a little crafting yesterday. Actually I did most of it because it involved a lot of cutting shapes and some sewing. Yes, I actually own a sewing machine - even though I haven’t had the thing out since before Jordan was born. I think the last thing I sewed was Jordan’s bedding set for her crib, which I still have, just because I made it. I am a seamstress by no means, but I can do simple stuff. I’ve even made a couple of lap quilts. When we were at Hobby Lobby, I picked up a bunch of felt to make some pumpkins for Halloween. I think the turned out really cute.

Speaking of Hobby Lobby, check out this cute bag that I found there. I just thought it was so cool! I would love to be able to make something like this, but like I said, I am no seamstress.

The freebie is great - thanks! I had a bag like that way back when I was… um… Ok, about 20 years ago. I loved it! I made it from a pair of jeans that didn’t fit anymore.
It was great. I may have to make another one… but now my butt is so big the bag would be more like a duffel…

Fall is here, the leaves are turning and the temps are dropping. It’s nice to be reminded that warm weather will come again. Thanks for the very cute kit! The denim bag reminded me of the many jeans purses I made one year for a local boutique Christmas sale.
