I have been so busy this week! I completely forgot to post on my blog yesterday! I think I only had time to check my email twice all day! Well, we have the red couch, and let me tell you it is so awesome! The red looks so great with the sagey/olive green walls! Tuesday was a day of moving out all of the old stuff to other various parts of the house! Then I cleaned all the carpet in the great room once all the old furniture was out. That was a job too, because the room is about 24×18. This is the room that has our big “ocean in a box” in it. I hope Phil hasn’t ruined the carpet in there splashing water out of the tank with water changes and stuff. It’s not like I’m in love with the carpet – it’s a light gray, and it shows dirt really bad. My preference for carpet is tan. It’s a much more neutral color, and it show less wear and tear.

So anyway, the couch is in. The artwork is hung. I have bought some of the big pillar candles and black pillar stands for them to sit on. Then I found these cool faux crocodile frames. I have tried to completely declutter the room and give it a clean, modern look - which is a complete turn around for the traditional style that it was before! I am adding black accents to try to pull in the black from the stand and hood on the aquarium, which is, needless to say, the focal point of the room. I found an awesome rug at Lowe’s last night. It’s one of those funky, modern ones with a lot of different colors. It’s only a 5×8. I would have preferred a larger rug, but first of all they didn’t have a larger one, and secondly, I really didn’t feel like paying for (and can’t afford) the larger ones! This room really needs an 8×10 rug. I still have a little more work to do to get it the way I want it, but I will post some photos when it’s done.

I have been so busy, I have not even been designing! It feels like forever since I’ve sat down and made a paper – LOL! I do have one set that will be going in the Your Digital Dream store this afternoon or tomorrow. It’s called Freshly Washed - and aren’t the colors greatt? So clean and refreshing!
