:: A Long Day! ::

Yesterday ended up being a very long day! It was a typical day until about 8:30 last night. I was on the phone and Jordan cam up to me crying. She was saying that her neck was hurting. I got off the phone and asked her what she’d done. She said, ”Nothing! It just started hurting!” My first thought was meningitis, although she’s never exposed to anyone but me – LOL! I felt her, and she didn’t have a fever. I gave her some Tylenol anyway. Well this went on for about another 45 minutes, and I finally decided that we needed to take her to the emergency room. When she heard that she started crying even harder. “I don’t want to go to the doctor!” I have no idea why she was freaking out – she has never put up a fight about going to the doctor, and she’s never had a bad experience.

So at about 9:30, we took her to the ER. We registered and sat. They finally took her back after about 30 minutes. She was still cryng. After another 30-45 minute wait, the doctor comes in. He confirmed what I’d already suspected, that it was some sort of musclle spasm. I can totally sympathize with my little girl! I get them too – for no reason at all. I can just turn my head the wrong way and I’ll get one. The first time I had one I could not even stand riding in a car! You never realize how much your head moves when you’re turning, braking and just riding down the road. I was in tears myself. They called my a “Wry Neck”, but it’s just a muscle that gets in a bind so bad that it’s just in knots! It hurts so bad! I still get them, but I’ve never had one as bad as the first one. A heating pad and some Motrin usually do the trick.

They gave her a shot of Morphine for the pain and to help relax her. After about 30 minutes, she was doing much better. Once the full effect kicked in she turned into Chatty Cathy! It was actually quite amusing! She would just talk about anything and everything! Her little slurred words – LOL! So, we didn’t get home until 1:30 in the morning, and it was about 2:30 before I got to sleep. I was hoping that she would sleep longer with the shot, but she was up at 9:00 this morning! I feel like I was given a shot of Morphine – LOL!

OK, here are the ornaments with the copper wire and beads on them. I think they turned out great, and I like them much better than with just the ribbon. This photo doesn’t really show the beads very well, but trust me, they look great with the papers on the back.
