That’s Wednesday for those of you outside the US. I was super busy yesterday! I cleaned all the carpet in the house, washed sheets, and made beds back up. I swear, these dogs really do a number on our carpet! It’s amazing how their little feet can track in so much dirt!

Other than that, it was a pretty boring day. We got outside and did a little work in the yard to prepare for the Christmas lights. I have always used white lights on the house and in the yard, and every year, my husband says we need to add some color. I am just not a big colored light person. I put colored lights on the tree in Jordan’s playroom, but that’s usually the extent of it.

This year I decided to add some color to the decorations. I am still going to use my white lights, but I’m throwing some blue in there as well. I have the animated reindeers and the set of three spiral trees - all of which have white lights. Plus I have the new candle stake lights that I found at Garden Ridge last week. Those will go down the sidewalk in front of the house - it’s going to take 21 of them to go down the entire sidewalk! I am using blue lights as “ground cover” around all of the other stuff, plus I found this gorgeous bright blur ribbon to use in the garland and wreaths. I think it will add just the right touch of color, and make it look like a little winter wonderland.

OK, enough about Christmas decorations! We like to have everything up by Thanksgiving, so hopefully I’ll have some photos to post soon! But in the meantime, I would like to share some of the new Christmas items I have in the YDD store. I have TONS of other Christmas items in the store as well!
