:: A New Friend ::
We got a new critter for the aquarium yesterday. We’ve been wanting a lion fish for awhile, but we were holding off because we weren’t sure if we wanted to do a reef tank or a fish only tank. We finally decided to stick with just fish. First of all, you can get some of the cooler fish if you’re not doing a reef, and secondly the anemones and corals are so expensive - even the little frags! So anyway, we went yesterday and got our lion and also a puffer. We have to wait until next week to pick up the puffer because he’s still in quarantine. The guy we get our fish from quarantines all of his fish for two weeks. That way you don’t bring something home and get all of your other fish sick. Here’s the lion, and I will post a photo of the puffer when we pick it up - they are so cute!
He’s kind of scary looking, isn’t he? He’s a pretty big one too, about 9 inches across when he’s all spread out. The other fish were a little freaked out when we put him in! We’re keeping an eye on the clown fish, because they’re really the only thing that’s small enough for him to eat, but so far, he’s not bothering anything. The clowns are so stupid though - they just swim around in front of him - like they’re taunting him! Our blue tang has been in hiding since we put it in, but the others have already come back out and are back to normal.

Jordan went for her third karate class on Friday. They got to do some new stuff, so she had a great time! They’re having day camp Monday and Tuesday since the schools are closed for MLK day and report cards. Monday they’re going bowling and Tuesday is Gatti Town. I asked Jordan if she wanted to go, and she was all excited about it. I told her that she would be with the instructors and other kids and that I wasn’t going to be there, and she seemed OK with it. She’s been home with me for five months now, and I know she has got to be bored! We do craft stuff and go places, but it’s not the same as being with other kids and playing.

Sticking with the blue stuff I’ve been doing for freebies the past couple of posts, here’s my Blueberry Festival Sampler.
HERE is the download link. PLEASE DO NOT SHARE MY LINKS WITH OTHERS OR IN YAHOO GROUPS! Hope you all have a great Sunday! Leave me some love if you download the freebie!

Love the blueberry minikit, especially that wide ribbon - very neat! Thanks for sharing it with us! I just lost both of my external hard drives last week, and don’t know if I’ll be able to recover everything (probably not), so I may be taking advantage of your super-mega-sale!

Thank you for another beautiful gift. I can’t wait to see a picture of the puffer fish. They are my favorite. I swear those little things have personalities. A girl I work with had one that I just loved. When it died she didn’t tell me for a long time because she thought I would be upset. LOL. Actually I was…. LOL.

Cool new lion fish & crabs!!! Love them!! I always wanted a saltwater tank just to have a puffer fish & a lion fish. LOL! Maybe when my inquisitive destructive toddler gets old enough to know to leave a tank alone….LOL Thanks for the freebies. Those are really cool pix of Jordan from karate–glad she’s enjoying it.

Bush goes ballistic about other countries being evil and dangerous, because they have weapons of mass destruction. But, he insists on building up even a more deadly supply of nuclear arms right here in the US. What do you think? How does that work in a democracy again? How does being more threatening make us more likeable?Isn’t the country with
the most weapons the biggest threat to the rest of the world? When one country is the biggest threat to the rest of the world, isn’t that likely to be the most hated country?
If ever there was ever a time in our nation’s history that called for a change, this is it!
We have lost friends and influenced no one. No wonder most of the world thinks we suck. Thanks to what george bush has done to our country during the past three years, we do!
