:: Altered State of Mind ::

Hope you all had a great weekend! I was busy doing laundry (where does it all come from??), cleaning the carpet, and all that good stuff. I did get a little chance to play though! I decided I wanted to send out some Valentine cards this year, which is something I don’t think I’ve ever done. I wanted to make something that looked like an ATC, but a little bigger. I came up with two, and I’ll be sending out both of them. I’ve already printed a few out, and they look incredible! The back is one of the papers with “Happy Valentines Day” printed on it.

This one was made with Sausan Designs Valentino Valentina paper and elements from Scrapbookgraphics. Sausan’s work is fantastic!

This one was made with Doris Castle’s Mirabella set. So feminine and romantic! This was just perfect for a Valentine card!

I also got to get my hands dirty with some altering! Yes, I am talking about “real” paper – GASP! I have tons of paper and stuff from My Mind’s Eye, and since I don’t scrap with it, I have to use it somehow! It’s too pretty to leave it sitting in a drawer in my craft room. After I did my paper line with them last year, they sent me everything that came out last year! I used the new Magnolia line for these butterflies. I found these at the $1 Spot at Target about a year ago, and at the time they went well with Jordan’s room. Well, I redid her room a couple of months ago, and the pink and purple didn’t work anymore. Her room now has kind of a Boho/ Gypsy feel, so these papers worked so well! All the papers and rub-ons are MME, but I can’t remember where I got the pink flowers.

I bought some of Bannerwoman’s commercial use doodles a few weeks ago, but I really haven’t had a chance to play with them yet. So I thought I’d try a couple out, and this is what I came up with. Hope you like them!
