We’ve been thinking about getting Jordan into some kind of sports. She used to attend pre-school, but since I am working from home now, she stays home with me. She just had so much excess energy! She pesters the crap out of the poor dogs, and they’re getting old and grumpy, so that’s just not a good idea. She said she wanted to take Karate, so my MIL and I took her to a couple of places yesterday to take a look, and as luck would have it they were having a class that afternoon. We also took her to a local gymnastics place, and she got to participate in about half a class. She just jumped right in there and followed along - LOL!
The first Karate class was so fun to watch! They are all in the 4-5 year range, so they all looked so cute! Again, Jordan just jumped right in! She was so upset when class was over! She wanted to keep playing! We told her that her next class will be Thursday afternoon. So, if she decides to stick with both of them, she’ll have gymnastics and karate on Tuesdays and then Karate again on Thursday. They also have a make-up karate class on Fridays that she can attend if she wants. They have to attend at least two classes a week. Here are a few photos I snapped of her in her uniform when we got home.

What a little karate cutie! I’m thinking of getting my son into karate, too, to give him a good outlet to burn off some of his 3-year-old energy!

To me, the cutest thing is the painted/decorated nails with the karate pose! Too cute! It’s so much fun when your kids have an athletic interest of some sort. Enjoy!

You have given me 2 gifts today. One is the cute freebie and the other is the push to try using kits that I never would have dreamed to use. I would have ever chosen to use orange (except at Halloween!) like this in a LO but the freebies just grab me and say “You can do this!” It expands my horizons!!
