:: What A Joker! ::
Well, we were finally able to pick up our puffer fish yesterday. He was a little freaked out when we first put him in, and the lion fish didn’t want to let him eat. Something freaked him out after the lights in the aquarium went out and he puffed up! Phil said that he’s heard that puffing up is not good for them. We couldn’t find it in any of our books, so maybe that’s not true. Here are a few photos that I took of him last night. Isn’t he just the cutest thing with those big eyes? These fish are really supposed to have some personality, so hopefully he will acclimate well.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
I actually got a layout done last night! For this one I used my Lovely set from the YDD store and my Faded Date Stamps (lower right corner) from Scrapbookgraphics.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Someone left a comment the other day when I posted the King of Hearts asking if I was planning on doing a joker. I thought about it, and I decided that it was a good idea. Heck, maybe I need to do the whole suit - LOL! Anyway, here is the Joker that I came up with. Enjoy!!

HERE is the download link. PLEASE DO NOT SHARE MY LINKS WITH OTHERS OR IN YAHOO GROUPS! Leave me a comment here at my blog if you download the freebie. People are leaving comments on the 4Shared site, and I never see them! Have a great weekend!

Hey Am I the first? LOVE the joker - Thank you!
And the puffer fish is indeed cute!! Do you have names for the fish? If not maybe you should post photos and have a naming contest. Maybe let the kids choose the names!

Oh, he really is cute! I’ve never thought of fish being cute before, but that one is. It is hard to tell scale in the photos. About how big is he?

Thank you. I don’t know about about a whole set (not that I would complain)But perhaps the ace and Jack (Knave of Hearts) at a minimum. I love your page of Jordan too. My little one is always falling asleep in odd positions so I have a ton of photos of her sleeping…too funny.

My friend is an excellent pest and animal control applicator/operator/owner. He said raccoons DO (often) come through doggie doors. You need to block off the doggie door until you’re able to trap the raccoons. Yes, trap. You must find where they are living (i.e., under the porch, under brush, in trees, under steps, in holes in the ground, under tree stumps, etc.) and place an animal trap (with food in it…cat food or tuna fish has a strong odor and works well) nearby. Once trapped, the animal must be transported to another outdoor location about 25 miles away or across a river (so they won’t return “home”). You can buy an animal trap (a “Have a Heart” trap is best -won’t injure the animal) for about $25.00
(US-NY) or hire an exterminator or an animal
control guy for $100.-$125. (US-NY).
My friend Bob said to give him a call. He’s glad to help you out and answer any questions you may have. (914) 522-1292

Ty for the wonderful goodies hon!! I had a puffer for several years and you are correct it is really not good for them to puff up. My understanding from our shop owner and internet readings was that puffing up will cause them to take water into their lungs which can be very harmful to them along with the stress and energy they use! I can tell you my puffer was my favorite fish in the whole world they are just so much fun to watch…. lots of luck with him they are truly wonderful fish!
