:: A Nice Day ::
Happy Tuesday! I changed the look of my blog again last night - as if you couldn’t tell - LOL! I think I like it, but I’ll have to give a few days. It was a super nice day here yesterday and it looks like it’s going to be another nice one today! It was warm enough here yesterday that Jordan could actually wear capris and sandals. She’s already wanting to go to the beach and wanting to know when we’re going to open the pool! I am ready for a beach trip myself, but I think we’ll wait until May for that. We went for the July 4th weekend last year, and it was miserably hot during the day! The sand was so hot you couldn’t walk on it barefooted. Hopefully it will be warm enough in May that we can play on the beach.
Jordan and I went to a “paint your own pottery” place yesterday. We have a couple near us, and she loves to go. I wish it wasn’t so dang expensive though! I painted a big over-sized coffee mug. It’s red inside, and black on the inside. I stamped some black harlequin shapes around the top of the inside of the cup and put some little white “beads” around the outside rim. Jordan painted a princess crown (imagine that!) It’s pink with a turquoise (same shade as her bedding) and the round points of the crown are painted the same color. Once it’s fired, we’re going to put some jewels on the points. She also painted a little pink puffy heart which has little white beads on the corners and a J in the middle of the start. They should be ready later this week. You know I’ll be posting some photos when we get them - LOL! That little trip was $40!
A few of you have mentioned wanting to see photos of Jordan’s room with all of the little altered items we’ve been making. So yesterday I snapped a couple of photos. The headboard furniture in the photo was my furniture when I was a teenager, and I’ve hung on to it! It was oak, but we painted it white for her room. It works really well for extra storage too. It used to have mirrors behind it, but those were broken during a move a few years ago. I like it better like this anyway. The framed pictures, butterflies, and birdhouses all were made with the MME Magnolia line, so they all go together.

This is the wall opposite the bed.

My sister’s birthday is coming up this weekend. Don’t tell I said this, but she’s going to be the big FIVE-O! Yes, there’s a pretty big age difference - she’s 12 years older than me, but we have a brother in between us. I made her a birthday card from some of my MME paper, and I also made her an altered journal.

I used one of my Front Porch papers to cover the album. Everything else is part of the Bohemia line.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Jordan and I also had a little impromptu photo shoot outside yesterday. Trust me - it was very impromptu, and very short - LOL! I think I took all 20 photos in under two minutes! That’s about as long as she’ll humor me. Here’s one of my favorites from the bunch.

Here’s a little sneak-peek at a sale that’s going to be starting tomorrow at the Your Digital Dream store.

I wasn’t sure if I was going to have time to get a freebie ready for today, I squeezed one in - LOL! This is a pre-made grouping of elements from my Fly Away With Me set. It would be great for journaling or a page title.

HERE is the download link. PLEASE DO NOT SHARE MY LINKS WITH OTHERS OR IN YAHOO GROUPS! Please leave me a little comment here at my blog if you download the freebie. :-) Have a great day!

Thanks for the freebie today, very nice! Jordan’s room looks so nice-we’re going to be making some changes to all of our kids rooms over the next few months (we moved our house 2 blocks over the summer & have major plaster repair work to do…). Seeing her room makes me look forward to it!

Thanks for the great bunchie. I can’t do them very well myself! Love it!
Just in case you want feedback for your new blog format from other computers (NOT at all a complaint, just an observation…My computer format must be really wacked), the text is now about a 2 inch skinny column down the middle with huge photos that I have to scroll to the right to see completely. The beautiful swirly flourish on the left goes to about the middle of the screen (it’s very pretty). I’m not sure if other monitors will see it the same way, but I just wanted to let you know.
THANKS again for the freebie!
