That’s what I’ve been for the past few days, which is why I haven’t posted here since last week! Miss me? LOL!!

Yesterday we spent most of the day messing with the aquarium. It was time for a water change, which is always an ordeal with a tank of our size! Plus on of the new tangs was not doing to well. It had some red streaks on it, which we found out was some sort of bacterial infection. It was most likely cause by the pet store taking them out of the pond like aquarium that it had been in for most of it’s like and in to a tank with a different water quality. Of course I’m sure they did they best they could to keep them healthy, and since they were closing the store, they had to get them out of the pond.

We set him up in a quarantine tank last night and dosed him with medicine. It was a real PITA getting him out of our tank! He’s only had the streaks for a couple of days, but sadly he was in fishy Heaven this morning. He probably had the infection when we bought him last week. The other two seem to be OK, but we’re keeping a close eye on them. Of course we can’t get our money back since the store is closed now! Poor guy! He looked so pitiful, so I’m sure he’s better off!

I wish I could have a huge aquarium, but there is no room in our house right now, and certainly no spot along an interior wall that doesn’t get direct sunlight from a window or drafts from doors. I miss my fishies that I had in college. Sorry to hear about your fish death; I hope the other fish don’t get infected.
