:: At the Beach! ::
Jordan and I decided to take an impromptu trip to the beach yesterday! It was 85 degrees and home, I got a major case of Spring Fever! DH was supposed to come with us, but they had a meeting right before he was supposed to leave work and he found out that he has to work this weekend. Sucks to be him – LOL! My MIL is coming down tomorrow, and we’ll be staying until Wednesday. It’s not peak season yet, so we got to stay in one of the nicer hotels that have all of the indoor/outdoor pools, lazy rivers, and this cool pirate lagoon – which is right outside our room! We;ll be here until Wednesday, and our hotel has internet in the lobby, so I will try to check my email at least once a day.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Several of you have asked me to post photos of my little garden I’ve been working on. It’s not finished yet, and it’s nothing fancy, but I did take a few photos yesterday. Please keep in mind, it’s still a “work in process.” You can see spots of that red clay I mentioned -hate that stuff! And I still need to put some mulch down to. I kind of like the ground cover that’s growing in there, but it may get unmanagable this Summer. It gives it that country, shabby, thrown together feel… or does it just need to go?
Here’s the overall planter I was talking about.
And here is a close-up of one of the shoe planters.
Here’s the front stoop. That’s Rocky, our Jack Russell, at the door checking out what’s going on outside.
Then Mollie, our female, had to come see what I was doing too!
So there you have it - nothing that special, but I never claimed to have that much of a green thumb - LOL! Now if I can get my husband motivated to get some boards replaced on the deck around the pool… We also still need to build some large beds around the trees in the front yard, but that’s probably going to require a truck load of mulch - not just the bags from Lowes. DH has also been promising Jordan to get her playhouse fixed up since we bought this house over a year and a half ago - LOL! As you can see, I have quite the “honey-do” list - now I just have to get him to do it!
