:: Feeling Crafty! ::
Well, I guess my child is having a ball at Disney World! I only get one quick call each morning, just to let us know they’re alive! I’m sure they are staying busy! They both took their cell phones with them, but they’re keeping them off so they don’t have to worry about work calling them. My FIL’s phone normally rings non-stop! This morning they were standing in line for the animal safari. Now that is something I would really enjoy!
Don’t forget about the 40% OFF Sale at my store, Your Digital Dream! It ends tomorrow, so now would be a good time to pick up anything you’ve been eyeing and save a ton of money!
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Remember the bracelets I mentioned making in my last post? Well, I was able to get my SIL’s done and I also did one for myself. I found this idea on the Craft TV website, and it uses inkjet printable shrink plastic. It HAS TO BE the Shrinky Dinks Inkjet Plastic. The regular stuff will not work for this project. Michaels carries it, but they were out, so I ended up getting mine on EBay. It’s really a pretty simple project. One thing they don’t mention is that you need to spray the printed plastic with a clear sealer when you’re done or the ink will smear. Also, if you want to stamp images in the back, you need to use an alcohol based ink. Here’s the link if you’re interested in making one: http://www.crafttvweekly.com/player.html?wid=80
Here are the two I made. This one is mine:
This one is for my SIL:
I still need to make one for my MIL, but I have some of the beads done already, so it won’t take me long. My next little project is Bree Clarkson’s Greeting Card File. This is a printable project that you assemble.
Here are some examples of some finished ones.
Isn’t that too stinkin’ cute? And it’s a great way to keep up with important events and make sure you’re never without a card! Kudos to Bree for coming up with such a brilliant project!
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
It’s freebie time! I also wanted to mention how much I appreciate all the comments you guys have been leaving! Some ask why I have comments at 4Shared disabled. I do that because when you leave a comment here, I get an email for each comment, and I can actually respond to you! Cool, huh?? Plus, I would forget to go and read the comments at 4Shared, and I do love to read all the comments you leave. Well, for today’s freebie, I have a some items that will be great to make a simple page. You can add some other stuff that you may have, but this will get you started.
THIS DOWNLOAD IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

HERE is the download link. PLEASE DO NOT SHARE MY LINKS WITH OTHERS OR IN YAHOO GROUPS. DON’T SUPPORT PIRACY! See - it’s on every post for a freebie! Have a great week, and please leave me some love if you download the freebie! ![]()

Another gorgeous mini kit, Traci. Thanks so much. I’ll have to look into those bracelets, they are so cute. I made about 10 of the Christmas tree ornaments last year like you had made. They were a big hit with the relatives. It took me quite a few tries to master the copper foil but eventually I did it. I love reading your blog.

I love that idea for the bracelet’s… I have 3 packages of the shrinky dink but I’m not sure if it’s the printable kind. I wonder if the alcohol based ink would work on any of the shrinky dinks??? I’m going to have to play with this idea. Thanks for passing on the great gift idea for my sisters.

Thank you so much for sharing your talent with the rest of us. I’m new to digital scrapping, so am still a newbie.

Traci, this is GORGEOUS! I LOVE it. This was one of my sweet Mother’s favorite colors so I hope I can find a photo of her to use with it.
Thanks so much! I love the bracelets. Being a craft fanatic I would love to make some of these.
