:: My Poor Baby ::
Jordan is home, but she is so sick! I picked them up from the airport yesterday afternoon, and as soon as I saw her, I could tell she was miserable. She has dark circles under her eyes and is coughing non-stop! Once we got home and got her stuff unpacked, I called some of the urgent care centers, but they were all closed. So my MIL and I ended up taking her to the emergency room. My main concern was the cough and the fact that she was so lethargic. This child has been sick before, and it’s never slowed her down like this.
The doctor came in and checked her out and decided to do a chest x-ray because of the cough. It came back showing some streaking around the bottom of her right lung. He said that it wasn’t an x-ray that was a definitive case of pneumonia, but that the streaking did indicate that there was something going on there. So he wanted to start treating her as if she did have pneumonia. He put her on an antibiotic and a decongestant/ cough medicine. So I was in Wal-Mart at 10:30 last night getting a humidifier. I have a vaporizer, but they said a humidifier would work better in this case.
By the time we got home, she was totally wiped out! She fell asleep on the way home, and I had to wake her up to give her the medicine they’d prescribed. She slept OK, but did cough some during the night. She woke up this morning coughing, and she did eat two bowls of cereal, which is a good sign. She really hasn’t been eating much in the last few days.
So I guess you could say that her first trip to Disney World was a bust! They spent the last three days of the trip in the room mostly because she was just so lethargic, and even walking to catch rides to restaurants would exhaust her. At least she’s home now, and she’s getting some medicine in her. Hopefully she’ll be feeling better in the next couple of days.

So sorry your baby is sick. My kids are 18 & 21,away at colleges and when they call sick, I just feel so bad I can’t help them with anything but advice. I hope she feels better soon.

Traci, so sorry to hear about Jordan being so sick. My 5 year old DD also has pneumonia, and double ear infections! It’s so awful when they are sick!!

Poor little one, I hope she gets better soon. When my grandson went to Disneyland, he too got sick. Hummmm, wonder what it is that gets them.

That is such a bummer! Hopefully she still has some good memories. We did Disneyland for just 2 days and it was plenty for our little ones. I think that cold is contagious via the internet because we’re all getting colds at my house! I hope she’s feeling better soon!
