:: A Long Weekend! ::
Happy Memorial Day! I think most people have a long weekend, and I hope you all have a great one! We have Freedom Weekend Aloft here in our town this weekend. It’s a well known hot air balloon festival. It started yesterday, and we were able to see a lot of the balloons from our house last night. My FIL decided to get in the car and get a closer look. He thought Jordan would enjoy it, but he was wrong! We were able to follow several of them and watched them make their landing. Even in the car, Jordan had her fingers in her ears. She has always been super sensitive to loud noises, and no matter how hard we tried to convince her that she couldn’t hear the balloons in the car, she just wasn’t having it! Of course I didn’t have my camera with me!
They were supposed to have another balloon launch this morning, but so far I haven’t see any balloons. I even put my zoom lens on my camera in preparation for seeing some! My MIL and FIL are going to the festival tonight, and they’re trying to convince Jordan to go. I don’t know if she’ll go or not. Poppa was trying to bribe her with cotton candy and kiddie rides - LOL!
One thing I really want to get done today is to try and get the pool opened. DH has to put more sand in the filter and hook the pump back up, so if I can get him to do that, maybe I can get the Shock in the pool to get the water cleared up. It’s pretty nasty since we don’t have a pool cover, but we’ve always been able to get it cleared up and ready in a day. I have no idea what the water temperature is. The weather here has been up and down, so it may not even be warm enough to get in yet. I think it’s supposed to get close to 90 here today.
Tomorrow we’ll be packing up for the beach! My MIL, Jordan and I are leaving Monday to go to the beach! Yay!! We’ll come back Saturday. So you know what that means, don’t you? More beach photos - LOL! Jordan is so excited! I made her a beach calendar three weeks ago so she could cross off each day until we leave. She does it faithfully each morning!

Here’s a layout that I finished the other day. I took this photo back in March, and every time I see her in a photo like this, I am amazed a what a beautiful young lady she is becoming! She is indeed a “Blooming Beauty!”
You can see the credits HERE.

Well, I guess that’s about it today. If I’m able to catch and pics of balloons, I’ll come back and add them. Don’t forget that my Clearance Sale ends tonight, so today is the last day to get these items at 50% OFF! There are 35 items to choose from.

She is a beauty. Funny how you look at a photo and all of sudden they’ve changed. No more baby or no more toddler. Soon they’re little women! Ugh–time’s flying.

I lived in New Mexico where the international balloon festival takes place yearly. 700 balloons go up in the air each morning for 2 weeks. What a site to see!
They can be noisy. Hope Jordon decides to go…..I’m sure she’ll have a great time! If they have balloon rides even more fun!

I wanna go to the beach!
sounds like way to much fun!
Jordan is such a cutie, seems like my dd should still be that age and she is 27!!! Good Golly where in the world did the time go.
We had a really fun balloon ride a few years back, so peaceful. they are not noisy all the time and worse on liftoff. Wonder if they have earplugs for little kids. Maybe those soft spongey ones would work for her?
