OK, maybe I’m exaggerating, but OMG the physical therapy yesterday killed! I know what the point of it is, but my back hurt pretty bad afterward! The way he explained my problem made it easy to understand. Basically, when a woman is pregnant all the ligaments relax in order for her to give birth. For most women, everything goes back to the way it’s supposed to be after they give birth. Well, of course I can not be normal – LOL! My ligaments did not tighten back up as tight as they should have, and it’s allowing my spine to move around more than it should. Basically I have two vertebrates that are “rocking” against each other when I walk or stand.

The order of PT is to strengthen and tighten everything back up to help support my spine. Of course the exercises are pin-pointed to isolate the trouble spots, and some of the ones he had me do actually aggravated the problem. Of course, he said that is not supposed to happen. He said “We don’t want these to hurt you. If they hurt, you’re not going to do them!” He didn’t want me to leave in pain, so he put this little patch thingy on my back with some sort of anti-inflammatory stuff on it. It really didn’t help that much!

I am supposed to do these exercises at least twice a day, and I have to go for PT twice a week for the next three weeks, and then I’ll be evaluated again to see how much more I need. He agreed that the problem with my neck is not going to be fixed with physical therapy. Oh, I forgot to mention that my physical therapist is HOT! LOL! At least I have something good to look at while I’m in agony! Hee-hee!
