:: Long Time No Freebie! ::
Happy Friday guys! I hope all is well with all of you! I haven’t been posting very much lately, and I haven’t had a new freebie up in almost two weeks! I wish I could say that there was some exciting reason for it - like a spur of the moment trip to Europe or something - LOL! But no, it’s just been pretty normal around…
I’ve been working on new stuff for the store, signing Jordan up for swimming classes, and all the boring household duties. I can’t believe my baby girl starts school in 5 weeks!! Nana went out the other day and bought her a ton new clothes for school. It’s not like she needed any clothes right now, but you know how Nana’s can be! Now all we need to do is pick up a couple of pairs of new shoes!
Speaking of Nana, she wanted to go ant look at laptops and wireless routers yesterday. I knew not to look at anything fancy or expensive for her. She’d just be using it for surfing the web, email, and maybe a little work. So we went to Circuit City and they had a Compaq on sale for $449. Well, the only one they had in stock was the display model. They took and extra $30 off for her, but then they had to reformat everything just in case someone had been playing with it while it was on display and messed something up. That took like an hour, so we browsed around the store.
Jordan came across the Yamaha keyboards, so we played with those for a while. The sound effects on those thing were pretty funny. So then we walked down the game aisle, and Jordan found a Spongebob game for Playstation. It was only $20, so I picked it up for her. Let me tell you, that frigging game is insane! There is no way a kid could play that game! Phil couldn’t get through the second level, and it took me like an hour to figure how to get through 4 levels! You can’t even get to most of the games until you finish that first game! WTH???
I wanted to take it back, but Phil said they wouldn’t take it back. I bet if I raised enough stink they would have taken it back… Oh well, maybe she can play it when she gets a little older. I have never been into video games, and I have a hard time even using the controllers. She’s never really used one either, so I don’t think she has the dexterity for it yet.

DON’T FORGET!!
Today is the last day for my Goody Box and the 50% Off Shimmer Collection

Also, Sunday is the last day for my CT Call, so if you haven’t submitted your application, what are you waiting for?? Just see the image below for requirements, and send your info to traci@your-digital-dream.com. I will be accepting applications through July 16th.

Thanks for the buttons! How disappointing about the game. Probably why it was only $20. Is there an exchange store in your area for used videos, music and games? You might be able to get some of your money back.

What an adorable freebie. I love it. Thanks!
We have SpongeBob “Lights Camera Pants” - I thought it would be fairly easy - Ya right! We’ve had it forever and are still on Silver level (there’s bronze, silver and gold). My son is super good at video games, but you have to play as a team, so unfortunately, I’m the one holding us back from advancing. Pretty embarassing.
have a good weekend!

Is this a cute border or what??!!! Thank you so much Traci. So happy to hear you’re all having some fun - that’s good. I hope you’re feeling well also these days. How’s your neck?
Don’t worry about the game. Jordan will figure it out eventually. You haven’t figured out how smart kids are - they’re amazing. Once they really want something, they find a way to accomplish it. Cartel started playing video games when he was “2 years old” (seriously - and he was potty trained by then as well). He started with Super Mario and evolved into EVERYTHING. I could not believe the dexterity on that boy and it just got better. I couldn’t even beat him in Super Mario - LOL. Jordan will do “anything” she sets her mind on! She’s “your little girl”. Happy Friday and have a great weekend

The freebie is so precious!! I know what you mean about the video games. The last game I could play was the sonic the hedge hog games. Hey to get her ready for school you should get a leapster LMax. Great educational but fun games. Their sponge bob game is great. Plus it has a wire to hook it to your tv so it looks like a large games system. I even use it in my classroom.

Have you looked into some of the “plug and play” games? The ones where it looks like just a joystick and maybe a couple of buttons just stuck to a small square base? They plug directly into the A/V jacks on your television; no “game system” needed. And because the controllers are so much simpler, the games are as well. Even my almost-3 year old can play a couple of them, so I’m sure Jordan could. We bought most of ours at Target or Toys ‘R Us. They run $20-30, but they come with multiple built-in games. Thanks for the freebie!
