Have you guys been wondering where I’ve been? LOL! Still here, just been busy with stuff around the house. I finally started painting the trim in the hallway - I’ve been doing like a doorway every couple of days. Painting over stained wood is a PITA, but it’s looking good -it just takes 3 coats of white to cover it. I have one more doorway, the inside of the front door, and the floor molding to go, and then I get to start on the stairway and landing upstairs where the bedrooms and bathrooms are.

Jordan made it through her first week of school - and is half way through her second week. She keeps saying that she doesn’t like school! Ay-yi-yi!! She’s only in kindergarten and she already dislikes school! I think what she is not liking is the structure and schedule. I have never kept her on a schedule really. We just kind of do whatever. I mean, I get her to bed around the same time every night - it’s not like she’s up running around at midnight - lol! She’s never been a big napper, so that was never really that much of an issue, and we eat around the same time everyday, but there was no strict schedule.

Speaking of eating lunch, her class eats lunch at 10:30 in the morning! Ugh… I guess that’s good though, because she really doesn’t eat very well in the mornings, since she’s not used to eating that early, so I’m sure by the time “lunchtime” rolls around she’s getting hungry. She’s been going back and forth between taking her lunch and eating the school lunch. We go through the menu and decide which days she’s not really going to like what they’re having.

Other than that, there is not really much going on around here! I’ve been busy do some designing too, speaking of which, did you see the new items I added to the store this week? Thanks for the lovely frame Traci!! I hope Jordan starts liking school soon!! My oldest hated every single day of Kindergarten, but all he could think about were the fun things his little brothers were doing at home with me, and that is why he never wanted to go!!! I bet she’s singing a different tune within a month!!

Thanks Traci! My middle girl just started kindergarten this week. She asked me if she had school every day and was a little bummed when I said she has to go every day. Jordan will get used to it. It just takes a little time.

My son was the same way with preschool - didn’t mind the free-time stuff or the activities, but really minded the structure. He used to say “But I don’t WANT to sit down now, I don’t WANT to have to do that, I want to do this other thing.” She’ll get used to the structure - and may realize that sometimes school is “just waiting” [as my husband calls it]. So, hang in there … I’m sure that soon it’s be “better” for her!

Thanks for the wonderful frame. I had to chuckle when I read that Jordan doesn’t like school very much. Well, neither did my son. When he was asked what was his favorite subject, he replied “PG, playground” but that same child grew up to not only get his bachelors but is finishing up his masters! So you see, one can never tell what the future holds! Just enjoy every single day because as I’ve said before, they grow way too fast!
