:: First Day & A New Newsletter! ::
Yesterday was Jordan’s first day of kindergarten! She was raring to go when I got her up - no problem getting her brush her teeth or get dressed! I tried to get her to eat some cereal, but she’s just not used to eating that early. They eat lunch at 10:30, so she was fine.
We walked to school, which I’d already planned to do, but it was a good thing because the traffic was a nightmare! I literally would not have been able to get out of our driveway! We live on the corner at the end of the road the school is on, so you can just imagine the traffic that was backed up in front of our house!
But we got her there, and put her stuff in her cubby. There were a bunch of other kids there already, and they had them sitting on the run watching a Curious George cartoon. Jordan started getting all teary eyed because she knew that it was time for me to leave. She never actually cried, but she was on the verge! I did good - I have her a big hug and kiss, and told her that I would be waiting for her when she got out. She went and sat down with the other kids, but she still had that look!
My MIL and I went to pick her up, and we got there early because we weren’t sure what the traffic was going to be like. It was 100 degrees out, so we opted not to walk - lol! The whole school release was a fiasco based on our observance. They let all the bus riders out at 2:00, and showed them how to find their buses. Then they herded them all back inside to their classrooms because a lot of the kids had left their bookbags in the classroom. Now, why didn’t the teachers just tell them to take all their stuff with them? That would have saved them from having to go back in, and then come back out again! Oh well, I guess there was some method to their madness…
She said she had a good day, but I could tell that she was tired. They got to go out on the playground and play yesterday morning before it got so hot, and they made tags for their bookbags, and colored a Jack Be Nimble coloring book page. All in all, it sounds like she had a great first day! She got a little teary this morning, but not quite as bad as yesterday. My big girl!!
Here are a couple of photos that I took yesterday morning.

OK, now on to scrapping stuff! I have decided that I want to try my hand at monthly newsletters, which will probably come out mid-month. I went ahead and put together one for August yesterday. I plan on adding more articles and tutorials for future editions. You may want to pay particular attention to the last page of the newsletter - hint, hint!
HERE is the link to download the newsletter.
Here are the new products for the YDD store this week.

I also have some items new to the Scrapbookgraphics store!
