:: Wait Until the last minute! ::
Yep, that’s my daughter! She is a major procrastinator at the grand old age of five! She waits until the last minute to do everything, even when I stay right on her. Today was no exception. They are have their class Christmas party tomorrow, which I knew about. Well today when I picked her up she decides to spring on me that she wants to take treat bags for the party.
I tried to explain that it’s not like Halloween, and that you really don’t give out treat bags for Christmas. Besides, they are going to have a ton of food brought in by parent. Apparently my cookies and punch are not good enough for little miss thing! So we go to Wal-Mart and got some candy. Now, of course you know they don’t make treat bags for Christmas like they do for Halloween. So they best I could come up with was some plain white bags I found in the craft department. I tried to find some stickers or something that she could decorate them with, but I couldn’t find any Christmas stickers.
I think I have some Christmas stamps, but I was so not in the mood to look for them and drag out all the ink pads. Not to mention the mess I knew I’d have to clean up after wards. I told her I would make her some sort of little decoration we could glue on the bag. I was already working on a gift card holder for her teachers, so I just came up with something that coordinated with them. Here are the bags - all 26 of them - LOL!
Here are the gift card holders I made for her teachers. I just LOVE the way these came out. I used Wendy Zines Gift Card Holder templates from SBG. They are so cool! I also used my Jolly Retro set - which happens to be on special for only $2.50!!
This is the inside where the card goes.
Here are shots of the outside.

And here is little miss holding one of the card holders! Isn’t she too cute??
