Happy Play Day to ME!
The wonderful ladies over at Scrapbookgraphics had a little play day for me! Look at all of these wonderful creations they came up with! Oh, and in case you’re wondering if about Becky’s comment about me having a rough time, my husband left last Monday to go to Iraq for a year. He’s still in the US right now for some training, but he will be leaving the country on Thursday or Friday of this week.
He will be working as a government contractor doing maintenance and repair on planes over there. It’s a one year contract, and we think he’ll be able to come home at least once during the 12 months. The first couple of days were pretty rough, but we’ve sort of settled into our own little routine here, so it’s getting better. We have been able to talk to him on the phone and through a webcam, so that has helped a lot. Hopefully the satellite link in Iraq will be good enough for us to still use the webcam for communication.
It’s going to be a big adjustment, and one year seems like an eternity right now. But it is for the best in the long run. The money that he’ll make during the 12 months will allow us to pay off credit cards, cars and hopefully pay down the mortgage on our house. With the economy the way it is right now, we are thankful to have this opportunity.
OK, so enough about the sadness… On with the fabulous ladies of Scrapbookgraphics! Check out what they’ve done!

It’s time for a little Traci Sims on the blog, don’t you think? We love our Traci! And we just want to say chin up, girl! We know it’s been a rough couple of weeks, but the next year is gonna fly by, and it’s gonna be SO worth it! These are for you! Thanks for bringing us such amazing designs!

I played with Traci’s Paint It overlays…I’m no “painter” but I had fun! Doing the outlines is easy if you just remember to lock the transparency of the layer in Photoshop. I used a soft round brush on a very low opacity to fill in some of the petals and leaves with my colors.

“Love this kit (of course it had diamonds/argyle which - next to paisley - is my favorite!!).”

“When we were in Branson we took an evening cruise on the Branson Belle Showboat. The showboat cruised around Table Rock Lake while we ate a delicious meal and enjoyed a few shows. One of the shows was a tribute to “movie music” and those singers and dancers brought the roof down!”

“My son and his “scarey” friends on Halloween in 2005. Isn’t this kit adorable? It’s the latest from Traci Sims @ Scrapbookgraphics called Hoolarific!
I also used the aged photo and aged paper overlays from ON Designs @ Scrapbookgraphics as well. What a hot new trend those overlays are!”

KIM
“I never really got over this pig! Everything from Traci Sims’ Altered State ATC Kit except Pigs Alpha by Robyn England La Femme.”
