I never did get a chance to do a blog post yesterday. I was busy most of the day yesterday putting together my new desk. I saw it in the Office Depot flyer on Sunday, and I just had to have it! My old desk was about 4 years old, and was really not big enough to serve my current needs. I need places to actually put stuff, and this one has plenty of that, plus I could beat the price! It was almost 50% off – $199 for the desk and the hutch!

Here’s my little corner of our great room where I spend most of my time. I make jewelry here, I design collage sheets here, etc… You can see on the left side of the photo my display that I use for a lot of my pieces that are awaiting new home! This is an old printer’s drawer that I painted and added hooks to hang my jewelry on. It’s pretty, I can see everything, and when someone comes over, they can take a look and see if they find something they like!

You can see that Cobi, our male Shi-Tzu, has made himself comfy under there. That’s where he and Piper, our female, will spend most of their time if I’m sitting at my desk.

We had Jordan’s “Meet the Teacher” night last night, and that went really well! Her teacher seems really nice, and she’s an older lady who has been teaching for a while. I can’t say that Jordan’s excited about starting school tomorrow though! That means she’s going to have to start getting up early – lol! We have to go today and pick up the rest of her school supplies.
