My Little World…

Whatever you call them, I have a thing for them - and not just around Halloween - lol! I actually have a couple sitting on the hutch of my desk. I don’t know why I like them - I just do! So, since it is quickly All Hallow’s Eve, I thought I’d search through Etsy and select a few of my favorites. I will try not to make them all Halloween themed…

Hubby will be home in the morning! Yay! I’ve been busy getting the house all spic and span. We pick him up at the airport at 9:45 tomorrow morning, and then who knows what the rest of the day has in store! I’m sure he’ll be exhausted, even though he said he was going to take some Tylenol PM so he could maybe get some sleep on the plane. But really… how comfortable can you get on a plane? Hopefully he will be able to get some though, so he won’t be so whipped.

I’ve added several new items to my TSD Etsy shop the last couple of days, but I haven’t had time to get them up here on my blog. Here’s an Etsy mini for ya!

Well, I’m off to chill out for a while. All this heavy duty cleaning has kicked my but, plus I’ve only gotten about 5-5 1/2 hours of sleep the last couple of nights. I could go to bed now, but I don’t think Jordan would be to keen on going to bed at 7:30 - LOL!

My husband will be home from Iraq Saturday morning! Only 3 1/2 more days to go - woohoo! Hopefully he will have no problems getting to Kuwait. They’ve been having a lot of troop movement and some sandstorms, which can make it pretty hard to get out. Last week a couple of guys barely made it out in enough time to get their Visas in Kuwait and make their flights!

I am sure that he’s going to be exhausted and not good for much on Saturday. An eighteen hour flight will do that to you - lol! I can’t imagine being stuck on a plane that long! The flight from Kuwait is 14 hours, then he has a short layover in Washington, DC before an hour and a half flight here. Hopefully Jordan will show a little empathy and let him get some rest when he gets home… but she is only seven, and she is so excited to have her daddy home!

In other news… I added this gorgeous necklace and matching earrings to my TSD Etsy shop yesterday. I just love how this one came out! I think I may just have to make one for myself!

Well, I guess that’s it for today. I have to get the house in tip-top shape before Phil gets home. Not that he’s probably going to notice that much. I mean, heck, he’s been living in a shipping container for the last year with no real running water, sand that gets in every nook and cranny, and 120 degree heat - lol! He will just be happy to have a comfy couch to lay on, a real bed, and a real shower and toilet!

I just listed these new wreaths in my Posh Girl Boutique. These are perfect for Fall, and the cardinal one can even carry you through Winter!

I also just added this necklace and these earrings to my other Etsy shop yesterday. They are Twilight inspired - drawn from the color of Edward’s eyes.

To the front page of Etsy that is! I have been selling at Etsy for about a year and a half and I don’t think I’ve ever had an item on the front page. It was posted at 3:00 a.m. this morning, so needless to say, I didn’t get to see it, but still… I know some sellers get featured there all the time, but this is a really big deal for me!

And what makes it even more wonderful is that the item, my Autumn Wren Yarn Wreath, was picked only one day after it was listed! Unfortunately no one purchased it - but it got over 200 views! Yee-haa! Here’s what the treasury look like when it was on the front page. I have some great company in this one! Love the stuff that was chosen. I am really groovin’ on that rose hair comb and the carnelian trumpet necklace!

I also listed some new clips in my Posh Girl Boutique yesterday. I am really digging the photos with the black background. It just makes the items pop! Let me know what you think… Here are a few of the new ones I just added.

It came yesterday, and it is so cute!! I just love the little accessory pouch too! It’s perfect for keeping the essentials in for a quick run to the store when you don’t feel like carrying a purse. The colors are just perfect for Fall too! Thank you  Debbie, aka Sewingsparklz!! Yoy really should go check out her shop. She has the cutest things - I really love her baby shoes!

Well, as usual our local weather forecasters were way off! What they forcasted as “isolated showers” has been all day rain for the last couple of days, and it looks like we have another one on tap for today. According to the weather, we are in some sort of weather pattern that is stationary, and it looks like it’s going to be close to a week before we see the sun! If I wanted weather like that, I’d move to Seattle - lol!

I am still waiting on my new purse and pouch - it should be here today hopefully! If you don’t know what I’m talking about, just see my last post. I did a trade with another Etsy seller, and I am anxious to get my new goodies!

Hello all! I hope everyone is having a great week. Only one more day on the work week - well if you work Monday - Friday, that is!

My husband will be home from Iraq in 15 days!! Wooo-hoooo! He was home in May for 28 days, but it will be different this time, because we know he won’t have to leave again! It will be so nice to have our family back together again after a year of being apart, and I will feel so much better knowing that he is safe again. Things are starting to get crazy over there again since the Iraqi government has started taking over.

My daughter already has some major plans for him when he gets home - lol! He’s already promised her that he will dress up for Halloween this year. I will believe that when I see it! My mother-in-law and I dress up every year, but I have NEVER seen him dress up in the 15 years that I’ve known him! I will definitely have the camera ready for that big event - lol!

Sewingsparklz from Etsy and I are doing a trade. She wanted some of my flower hair clips and a couple of necklaces, and I had her make me a hobo bag and matching accessory pouch. She posted some photos on her blog, Beautiful Handmade, yesterday, and I have to say - it looks fabulous! Don’t you just love the colors and pattern of the material? I can’t wait to see it in person! You need to go check out her shop. She has some really pretty stuff!

I also wanted to let you know that I have decided to open a new Etsy shop for my hair clips and accessories. It’s called Posh Girl Boutique. I just really feel like they aren’t meshing really well with my jewelry, and that I needed to have a dedicated shop for them. I am slowly but surely getting them added to the new shop, and I have a lot of NEW items listed there already. Come take a peek! I love the banner that I made for it - so cute and girly!

 Okie-dokie then! Well, I guess that’s it for today. I’m off to take a shower and get ready to go to the dentist. I am having a new crown put on today - yuck! At least they are just cementing it on, and I won’t have to get all numbed up. Novacain takes forever to wear off for me, and I end up looking like I’ve had a mini stroke for about 4 hours afterwards!

Happy Tuesday! I know, Tuesdays aren’t really anything to happy about, but at least it’s not Monday! We’re one day closer to the weekend.
